I live in Douglas County and not even a republican…so why am i being harrassed by phone by Karl Hoopes political campaign? I have requested a DNC Leave me alone!!!!

We need to get the problems with our country fixed and believe in our elected officials again. Politics is a popularity contest with the fate of our nation as the prize. Why is it that the people are suffering in this nation and the politicians are gaining more benefits and more pay? When someone is elected to a high office, I pay for his housing and lifestyle regardless if I voted for the candidate or not! How does this make sense? Pay your bills and do your job like the rest of us….

As a very conservative Republican, I believe you are the best candidate for office. Second–we can continue on the path we are on, and we will fail at all attempts to correct them. There is not a law we can pass that will fix any problem in society. What we need to do is change the hearts of the people where they will understand that we are all free to do what-ever we want, but should we be doing it. The problem is not high taxes or health care reform; the problem is people think they are not selfish, greedy, or prideful. High taxes are a sign of a sinful society. If society does not change, there is very little to no hope for our country. Every new nation begins with strong family values, and every nation gradually fell because of strong divisions in the family. We are no different than all the other great nations that have fallen in time. Our Republican hands are tied when wanting change because noone is listening to us anymore.
