During tonight’s Adams County Republican Caucus, a straw poll was conducted among attendees. For the candidates for Colorado Governor, Dan Maes edged Scott McInnis, 50.0% to 49.4% with other candidates at 0.6%. In the hotly contested U.S. Senate race, Ken Buck won with 37.7% of the vote, followed by Jane Norton 34.1%, Tom Weins 19.9%, Cleve Tidwell 4.0%, Steve Barton 3.0%, Vincent Martinez 0.9% and other candidates with 0.3%.
Next up, elected Delegates and Alternates will convene at the Adams County Fairgrounds on 9am Saturday morning, April 3rd for the County Assembly to vote for local and state candidates as well as finalizing the resolutions submitted during tonight’s caucus.
